SMART further increases its NHS customer base with six new contracts
SMART today announced the award of six new contracts for its web based workforce management software by NHS trusts. Ranging from staff bank management, e-rostering and time and attendance requirements, the six organisations all selected the software to achieve improved efficiencies and productivity in the management of staff.
The six NHS trusts are:
- Calderstones Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
- Royal Free Hampstead NHS Trust
- Devon Partnership NHS Trust
- The Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
- Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
- Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Trust
The majority of the new contracts are for SMART's full workforce management software package, incorporating electronic roster planning with the automated capture of hours worked. Four of the trusts also selected SMART's staff bank management system, representing an increased understanding of the integration that the SMART software provides for visibility, transparency and accuracy of information regarding the best use of resources.
By the end of 2009, the SMART solutions will be in use to manage an impressive 100,000 staff rostering and working time records through to the ESR payroll system, largely as a managed service where SMART will be responsible for the end-to-end service, including hosting.
Commenting on the recent contract wins, Tristan Spencer, Health Market Director at SMART said: "We are extremely proud of being selected for these contracts, which are significant business wins for SMART this year and help to clarify our position as the only genuine provider of the latest technology solutions for workforce management to suit a range of organisations".
